Cool LiteRunner-ECO

PC/104 Single Board Computer - Intel Atom Z5xx, 1.1 / 1.6 GHz

The Cool LiteRunner-ECO is a PC/104 form factor carrier board for CoreExpress®-ECO Advanced Computer on modules. (COM)

The CoreExpress®-ECO Advanced COM module works as processing core of the Cool LiteRunner-ECO. It is available with the Z510 or Z530 variant of the processor. This keeps the power consumption low and allows for passive cooling, using either a heat sink or a heat spreader/heat pipe combination.

The board features lots of interfaces. Among these are two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 SATA and 7 USB interfaces. It also offers legacy interfaces like flexibly configurable serial ports, LPT and PS2, as well as 8 general purpose I/O signal pins that can be freely configured by the application.

Multi-media capabilities are provided through VGA and LVDS display connections and high definition audio interfaces, both digital and analog.

A micro-SD slot is available, which supports bootable media; this eases software development and update -- only a tiny SD card needs to be exchanged with a new software version on it. Even a WLAN interface can be integrated, using the standard PCI-Express-Mini-Card slot.

The Cool LiteRunner-ECO uses LiPPERT Enhanced Management Technology (LEMT) to handle the boards housekeeping tasks like power sequencing and watchdog. It also provides useful utility functions for the application, like a secure, write and clear protected Flash area that can be used for security keys, or several operation mode counters. LEMT also enables remote condition monitoring.

Cool LiteRunner-86DX

PC/104 Single Board Computer - DM&P Vortex-86DX CPU, 600…1000 MHz

The Cool LiteRunner-86DX is an affordable PC/104 single board computer running a Vortex-86DX processor. The processor’s clock frequency can be set from 600…1000 MHz. Redundant coniguration of two Cool LiteRunner-86DX is supported.
Fast, specialized, hardware-based processing is possible with a builtin Xilinx Spartan-3A FPGA, connected to the CPU via LPC bus and UART interface. A buildin GPS receiver allows location based applications like indoor tracking or device tracking.

The Cool LiteRunner-86DX provides fast Ethernet, four USB ports, an ATA100 compliant EIDE port, as well as PS/2 ports. A microSD slot and an Onboard-Flash device facilitate constructions of devices without moving parts, as it is often required for mobile applications. Two flexible serial ports can be software-configured for RS232/RS422/RS485 line levels.

The Cool LiteRunner-86DX can be expanded using standard PC/104 peripheral modules, using the PC/104 connector, or the builtin Mini-PCI slot. A Mini-PCI-based graphics module is readily available.

Sixteen I/O signals are freely usable for application defined signals and are accessible on a flat cable connector. The real time clock is buffered with an integrated battery.
Troubleshooting the board is made easy with supervision LEDs for power, watchdog, Ethernet and an application-defined life signal.

PC/104 - AMD LX800 @ 0.9W - 500 MHz

The Cool LiteRunner-LX800 is an affordable PC/104 single board computer, powered by an AMD Geode LX800 processor running at 500 MHz. It features 256 MB soldered DDR-RAM, AC97 sound and four USB 2.0 host ports. It is plug-in compatible to the familiar Cool LiteRunner 2.
