Linux coreboot
coreboot is an open source BIOS replacement. Other than the usual BIOSes, it only performs a basic initialization of the computer's hardware. This leads to shorter boot times. On LiPPERT's AMD hardware, coreboot initializes the hardware typically in less than 1 second.
LiPPERT products supporting this feature are all boards based on the AMD Geode LX800. For these, coreboot can optionally be ordered.
